Phosphorus Capture & Recycling in Farming

Environmental Chemistry

I am an Environmental Chemistry student at Queen's University. My research interests are in agricultural processes, specifically how fertilizer runoff create eutrophic events in nearby water systems and how to make agriculture processes more sustainable and efficient. I can benefit a team by providing both a chemical perspective and environmental perspective. I am good at data management and look forward to sharing my knowledge with a team in order to develop a strong idea for a design. I am from a small town and have many connections with farmers and as well as farm equipment companies. I am familiar with current farming practices and believe that phosphorus capturing and recycling in farming is very important from a environmental, food security, social, and chemical point of view.
